Residence of the Swiss Embassy in Greece. Federal Office for Buildings and Logistics, FOBL

Date:

2015-2016

The building has a living area of 830 m2 and was built in 1929, on a property of 4'500m2, located in the town of Chalandri on the outskirts of the city of Athens.

In 2013 the Swiss Confederation decided to proceed with the restoration and renovation of the building.

After an analysis according to the EPQR + model and the definition of priorities, it was decided to carry out an in-depth project and the works.

In particular :

• Renovation with thermal insulation of the roof and tinplate.

• Renovation of the entire envelope and thermal insulation.

• New technical installations for heating-cooling, electricity, sanitary, wastewater and drainage.

• Solar energy collectors

• Reorganization of spaces

• Enclosure of the property.

The overall renovation of the building has been studied to meet the MINERGIE model and to build a first example in Greece.
